Free Online Image Resizer

Resizing images is a fundamental task for web developers, bloggers, social media managers, and everyday users. The OffSecPath Image Resizer lets you change the dimensions or the aspect ratio of any photo without stretching or squashing it, so logos, faces, and products always keep their natural proportions.

Unlike tools that upload your pictures to a remote server, this resizer runs 100% in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. Your images never leave your device, which keeps them private and secure.

Resize to Any Aspect Ratio Without Distortion

  • Aspect ratio presets: Choose 1:1, 4:5, 9:16, 16:9, 4:3, 3:2 and more, or pick Custom to type any width and height.
  • Fit: Keeps the entire image visible and fills the extra space with any background color you choose, or with transparency.
  • Fill: Covers the whole area and crops the overflowing edges. Choose whether to keep the center, top, bottom, left, or right.
  • Stretch: Forces the exact size when you really need it, although the image may look distorted.
  • Live preview: See exactly what the result will look like before you download it.

Why You Need to Resize Images

  • Improve website speed: Large images are the number one cause of slow-loading websites. Resizing them to the size they are displayed at reduces file size and improves Core Web Vitals.
  • Better SEO rankings: Fast pages give a better user experience, which helps search rankings.
  • Save bandwidth and storage: Smaller images use less hosting bandwidth and device storage.
  • Meet platform requirements: Social media posts, stories, covers, and product photos all expect specific shapes and sizes.

How to Use the Image Resizer

  • Drag and drop your image into the upload area, or click it to browse your files.

  • Choose how the image should fit: Fit, Fill, or Stretch, and set the background or crop position if needed.
  • Select an output format, click Resize Image, and download your file.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

How do I change the aspect ratio without stretching the image?

Pick an aspect ratio preset and leave the mode on Fit or Fill. Fit keeps the whole picture and fills the extra space with a background. Fill crops the edges so the picture covers the new shape. Neither distorts the image.

What is the difference between Fit, Fill, and Stretch?

Fit adds background around the image so nothing is cut off. Fill crops the image to cover the whole area. Stretch squeezes or expands the image to the exact size, which can distort it.

Which output format should I choose?

JPEG is best for photographs. PNG is ideal for logos and graphics, and keeps transparency. WebP gives excellent compression for websites and also supports transparency. JPEG cannot be transparent, so a white background is used instead.

Will resizing reduce the quality of my image?

Making an image smaller usually has little visible effect on quality. Making it larger can make it look soft or pixelated because new pixels have to be estimated.

Are my images uploaded to your server?

No. All processing happens locally in your browser, so your files are never sent over the internet.
