Free Spin the Wheel and Random Name Picker

The Spin the Wheel tool picks a random option from any list you give it. Paste names, tasks, prizes or ideas, press the button, and the wheel spins and stops on a winner. People use a spinner like this to draw raffle winners, choose who goes first, assign classroom turns, settle a group decision or just add some fun to a game. Everything runs in your browser, so your list is never uploaded.

How to Use the Wheel Spinner

  1. Type or paste your options into the box, one per line. You can also separate them with commas.
  2. Look at the wheel. It updates as you type, with one slice for each option.
  3. Press Spin the Wheel and wait for it to slow down and stop.
  4. The winner appears in a pop-up. Choose to keep it on the wheel or remove it, or let the tool do that for you with the auto-remove switch.
  5. Use Randomize List Order to shuffle your options if you want a fresh layout before you spin.

Auto-Remove the Winner

Many draws need several different winners, such as first, second and third prize, or a team where nobody may be picked twice. Turn on the Auto-remove the winner switch and every winner is taken off the wheel as soon as the spin ends, so the next spin can only land on someone new. The winner is also added to the Winners list under the wheel, in the order they were picked. If a result was a mistake, press Undo Remove in the pop-up to put the option back in its place.

What You Can Use It For

  • Raffles and giveaways: draw a winner from a list of entries or ticket numbers.
  • Classrooms: choose a student to answer a question or present next.
  • Teams and chores: assign tasks, pick team captains or decide who does the dishes.
  • Everyday decisions: choose a restaurant, a movie or a weekend plan.
  • Games and parties: truth or dare, charades topics, trivia categories and icebreakers.
  • Streams and social posts: let your audience’s ideas decide what happens next.

Is the Spinner Fair?

Every option is given a slice of exactly the same size. The wheel is started at a random speed and slows down gradually until it stops, and the winner is the option under the pointer at the top. Because the stopping point changes from spin to spin, no option is favored, and the order of your list does not matter. As with any random draw, a result can repeat or look streaky. That is normal chance, not a fault.

Tips for Better Spins

  • Keep names short. Long names are shortened on the wheel so they stay readable, but the full name appears in the result.
  • Use duplicates on purpose. Adding the same option twice gives it two slices and doubles its chance.
  • Check your list first. The wheel shows exactly how many options it counted.
  • Record important draws. For prizes, screen-record the spin so everyone can see it was fair.

Privacy

The wheel works entirely in your browser. The names you enter are not sent to a server, stored or shared. When you close or reload the page, the list is gone.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Is the Spin the Wheel tool free?

Yes. It is free, needs no sign-up and has no limit on how many times you spin.

How do I make the winner leave the wheel after each spin?

Turn on the Auto-remove the winner switch. After every spin the winner is taken off the wheel and added to the Winners list. If you change your mind, press Undo Remove in the result box.

Can I add many names at once?

Yes. Paste a whole list with one option per line. You can also separate options with commas. Blank lines are ignored.

Is the wheel fair?

Every option gets a slice of the same size, and each spin starts at a random speed, so the wheel can stop on any option. The result is decided by chance, not by the order of your list.

Can I use it for a giveaway or raffle?

Yes. Number or name each entry, paste them in, and spin. For a public giveaway, consider recording your screen so entrants can see the draw, and turn on auto-remove to pick several different winners.

What happens when only one option is left?

The wheel needs at least two options to spin. When one is left, the tool tells you so. Add more options or press Undo Remove to continue.

Are my options sent to a server?

No. The wheel runs in your browser, so your list stays on your device and disappears when you close the page.
